Person: Peter (Hoa) Stone
Peter was orphaned as a child during the Vietnam War. He also has a physical disability (polio) and walks with the aid of crutches. After a traumatic and dramatic life growing up in Australia, he has return to his homeland as a humanitarian worker. Peter has been serving in this way since 1998.
With his background he has a real understanding and a heart for disadvantaged children. He saw that while many people care for orphans, there was limited planning beyond the immediate needs.
Purpose: I have a dream to help disadvantaged children with a physical disability have a brighter future. Through the Company of Grace a variety of life enhancing services will be provided in local Vietnamese communities.
Key services including physical rehabilitation, early/elementary education, and vocational training will aim to help disadvantaged children develop the capacity to live independent and fulfilled lives with a positive future.
